Sylvester Brown Jr.
Sylvester Brown, Jr., is a former award-winning columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Prior to that, Brown published Take Five Magazine. After leaving the PD, Sylvester worked as a consultant, collaborator and researcher on several books published by SmileyBooks, founded by TV commentator Tavis Smiley. In the summer of 2012, Sylvester founded the “Sweet Potato Project (SPP), an entrepreneurial that teaches urban youth how to grow fresh food and develop marketable food products.
